About Me

About Me

Hello, I’m Sally, a qualified and experienced counsellor offering therapy for children, teenagers, and young adults, in-person in Northamptonshire or online www.patchworkpathways.co.uk

At Patchwork Pathways, I provide a warm, supportive space where you or your young person can feel safe, understood, and accepted. I’m also a mum, so I truly understand the challenges children, teens, and families face, and the worries that come with watching someone you love struggle. Whether you’re a parent seeking help for your child, or a young adult looking for support yourself, therapy can help you explore what’s happening beneath the surface and find a sense of calm, confidence, and direction.

My approach is integrative and person-centred, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and creative therapies. I adapt each session to suit the individual, using talk, play, art, or creative expression as needed. For those who’d like a little extra comfort, my gentle therapy dog Toffee is often part of sessions, offering a calm, reassuring presence.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a teacher, giving me a deep understanding of how emotions affect learning, relationships, and self-esteem. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People and am currently completing my Master’s degree in the same field.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory session (in person, online, or by phone) so you can ask questions and see whether I’m the right fit before starting therapy.
