About Me
There is nothing worse than seeing your child suffer. They may be withdrawn, acting out or just not themselves and you want to find the right support to help them get through this difficult time. I offer specialist counselling for young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, school difficulties, body image issues, neurodivergence and bereavement. With over 30 years experience in education, safeguarding and young people's mental health I understand the pressures teenagers face. I have helped many young people find their way through the teenage tunnel to a place of self acceptance and confidence. I help them find their joy again.
I work as a person centred therapist, placing importance on the therapeutic relationship. I also know that young people can need strategies to cope with their often overwhelming thoughts and emotions. As a creative person I am able to explore what works for you and to meet you where you are.
Many clients I have worked with believe that whatever happened to them or how they are feeling is their fault. This can keep them trapped in negative patterns of behaviour. Having the opportunity to explore their inner landscape with a trusted professional can help to reframe such painful beliefs and this can be powerfully transformative.
I offer a free 30 min consultation where we can talk about what it is that brings you to counselling and if I'm the right person to help.
