Meet the Trainers

Our Foundation Training in Systemic Practice is delivered by experienced systemic practitioners, therapists, and educators with extensive backgrounds in counselling, psychotherapy, and relational mental health. The training team combines clinical expertise with professional teaching experience, supporting therapists to develop systemic thinking, relational awareness, and practical skills for use in therapeutic work. All trainers are actively engaged in clinical practice and professional development, bringing real-world systemic therapy experience into the learning environment. Their collaborative teaching approach helps trainees integrate systemic practice into everyday counselling and psychotherapy settings.

Rick Murphy

Experience: Over 10 years of systemic clinical practice and higher-education teaching

Rick Murphy is a systemic psychotherapist and counselling educator specialising in integrating systemic thinking with contemporary counselling practice. His work focuses on helping therapists understand relational dynamics, context, and meaning within clinical work with individuals, children, and families. Rick’s teaching style bridges theory and application, supporting trainees to use systemic concepts such as circularity, patterns of interaction, and narrative frameworks within everyday therapeutic practice. He has extensive experience teaching counselling students and developing systemic-informed approaches in professional training environments.

Dr. Lisa Dvorjetz is a clinician and trainer specialising in systemic and relational approaches to therapy. Her work supports counsellors and psychotherapists to develop systemic thinking, reflective practice, and relational awareness in clinical settings.​ Lisa’s background combines clinical work and teaching, with a focus on how systemic theory informs work with complex family dynamics, life transitions, and multi-layered relational contexts. She contributes to the course through experiential teaching, case discussion, and the development of systemic formulation skills.

Conny Kerman brings a strong clinical focus to systemic practice training, supporting therapists to understand patterns of interaction, relational meaning, and the influence of wider systems on therapeutic work. Her contribution to the programme emphasises practical application of systemic ideas in everyday counselling and psychotherapy settings. Conny’s work centres on helping practitioners expand their perspective beyond the individual to include family, social, and cultural contexts, a core foundation of systemic practice. She is experienced in facilitating group learning and reflective dialogue within training environments.​

Experience: Over 20 years of clinical, academic, and systemic therapy experience

Dr. Ferdinando Salamino is a highly experienced systemic psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, and educator with more than two decades of work across mental health, family systems, and professional training. He brings extensive expertise in systemic practice, relational therapy, and family therapy to the Foundation Training in Systemic Practice. His career spans clinical work with individuals, couples, families, and adoptive systems, alongside senior academic roles designing and delivering postgraduate counselling and psychology programmes. Ferdinando’s teaching integrates systemic theory, attachment, relational ethics, and clinical formulation, helping therapists translate systemic ideas into practical therapeutic skills.

Loren Davy Green

Experience: Consultant Systemic Psychotherapist in CAMHS

Loren Davy Green is a therapist and trainer whose work is grounded in systemic and relational practice. Loren supports trainees to develop confidence in applying systemic frameworks, including attention to patterns, context, and meaning-making in therapy. Her teaching focuses on translating systemic theory into accessible clinical tools, encouraging practitioners to work with curiosity, collaboration, and awareness of the wider systems that shape client experiences.
